RPM changes from EasyTouch setting

I have the same issue. I have Pentair Screenlogic Pool app from 15 years ago and it has worked flawlessly. Now when I want to change the speed for the "Pool" setting it works fine. When I want to change the speed for the Cleaning setting, it changes and then reverts back 3 seconds later.

P,

Does not sound like something that ScreenLogic or the EasyTouch can do...

Are you using your PC or a phone to make changes?

Can you tell me, or show me, what you are doing? Pool vs. cleaner?? In general, all the electronics used to change "Pool" would be used to change "Cleaner" so on the surface it makes no sense, that one would work and the would not work..

Something else must be going on..

We need more info..

Thanks,

Jim R.

I am in the screen logic app on my phone. This is within the speed control portion of the app, not pool or cleaner although they are indirectly affected because the speed set in Pump section tells the pump what speed to run for each of those settings. Here is a screen recording. You can see when I change the speed of the last two, they just revert back and actually change the speed above them. When I change the speed on the Pool setting at the top, it holds, maybe because it doesn't have a setting above it, IDK. Turns out I can't attach a screen recording. but here is a screenshot I have used for many years to change speeds.

Oh, and you can change the speeds with the remote. I believe it is/was called the Mobiletouch. I still have it laying around so I tried that too to no avail.

Well the MobileTouch is packed away in the closet but plugged in. It was having spasms, flashing and telling me it didn't match and select indoor/outdoor. I unplugged, and cleared the errors and reset the speeds on the MobileTouch and they seemed to hold and show up the same on my iPhone. If they continue to hold, I will then unplug the MT and let it die (it is old and the battery dies quickly) and see if maybe it was the problem and was somehow overriding my iPhone version.

What you described is common: You only use the SL for changes to your system (Intellitouch?) and next time you connect with MobilTouch or a UIC there is a mismatch. You should "Get image from Outdoor" in this case.

Also check what SL version you are running on both the PA (SL adapter) and your devices... An older firmware on the adapter may cause this issue.

Also check your min and max speeds set on your variable speed pump (assuming VS or VSF or VST with RS485). Outside put the system in service mode. When the pump Message "Display Inactive" drops, hit pump menu button and check settings

Can you please remind me how to check the versions on the various devices. I can't see where any of the screens tell me the version of the App on the iPhone. Not sure how to check anything else.

Going to Pentair website it looks like the last version was posted in 2019. I can't recall having updated anything for many many years so maybe it is old, but it worked until a month or so ago. The only thing I did was found the old MobilTouch and plugged it in.

Thanks

Chances are your phone app is up to date. If your not sure install the latest version.

The firmware version the PA was shipped with is printed on its side below the red power led. 738 is the last update from Pentair. When I perform updates for clients I mark the PA with the new version.

If you have SL Connect on a PC and launch the configurator, it's very easy to see your adapter version. Otherwise to see it using your app:

The app will briefly display the adapter version if you log in remotely. If your phone wifi is on the same network as your PA, first turn off your phone's wifi to force using your cellular data for the remote connection. Start the app, tap Remote, enter your PA name and password, then tap connect. Just above the Connect button a lot of text will flash by. The last line of text will display your adapter version on the right side - 738 or 736 etc. Might take more than one attempt to see it.

That's the most recent version so you're good there.
Did you check min/max speeds on the pump?
Any system alerts or errors?
No alerts and everything has worked perfectly for years. System has literally been perfect until just recently. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling but maybe I should try that again. Should also note that when I try to change the speed on my Mac, it does the same thing as on the phone. Not sure if that helps at all.

It isn't in the easiest place to get to but that may be worth a shot too.

I'm backtracking here but in one post you said your remote was mobiltouch - that's a remote for the Intellitouch system. But your post title says Easytouch. Please confirm it's Easytouch. I'd like to know the firmware revision of that as well.
