Do you just throw it directly in the pool , or dissolve in water first ? Thx

Just tested my CH, obviously left it too long, it is near zero.

Anyway , bag of snow joe Melt just arrived, do I just spread it straight into the pool like I do with salt?

I I think I may have to add they whole 50lb bag

Calcium products should be spread across the surface of the deep end of the pool.

Thanks ! Was just checking , as they are pellets , so will sink anyway.

I'd be a bit more concerned with broadcasting the pellets over flakes. They may take a while to dissolve and produce a fair amount of heat while doing so. Maybe see if @mknauss has a recommendation first

Brush if the pellets do not readily dissolve.
Heat is a concern if you try to dissolve them in a bucket first.
