Questions about levels, why I am getting skewed results, and quick thoughts, advice while I wait to receive one of your test kits

Not sure what you are doing, but you need to get FC to target for your CYA and never let it drop below minimum.
Hi
Wasn't able to test yesterday and just now had the chance to do it today. So the levels at this time which is about 9:30...
pH - 8.2
FC - 3
CC - 1
HC - 125
TA - 130
CYA - 20
Your thoughts?

Also, I found out yesterday that when my husband last went to the pool place they said we had copper in our water. He could not remember how much copper or what they said to do.
Now you know why he got fired from pool duty.
As that to my questions...

if your pool water is clear, and you have passed an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test; you need to raise the CYA to 70 ppm. Increase the FC to target range of that CYA using FC/CYA Levels

As to the copper, monitor for staining on the pool shell. Only way to remove it from the pool is to drain the pool and refill with fresh water.

There have been two little black dots at the bottom of the deep end for 2 years they haven't gotten any bigger but haven't gone away. One might be a little smaller than a pea and the other is smaller than that. I have been worried about them but I haven't known what to test for or what they might be. The weird thing is when I sweep around where those spots are the brush kind of like catches, sort of like right around that little area the shell is rough or something... the brush just doesn't move as smoothly as everywhere else in the pool. I just noticed that part a couple days ago.

Ok - sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm trying to figure out what exactly to do next. I went to the link that was in your reply and I put in my level like it said to and all it told me was that it wasn't right and what it was supposed to be. But I'm not sure how to get it there, is there a different article or somewhere else I'm supposed to look for that? I think I've seen instructions like that somewhere on the site but I don't know where I can't remember.

Do I use this chart and increase FC to the level that corresponds to the target pH?

Increase our FC based on the CYA level you are targeting when you add stabilizer.

Use liquid chlorine to increase the FC. Then adjust your SWCG to maintain that level.

Ok i got it -
I need to raise FC from 3.5 to between 5 - 10 according to the chart , to determine how much liquid chlorine I need to add should I just buy the liquid chlorine and go based on the instructions that they probably have on the container?

My smart stir stopped working. Using brand new Duracell powerboost batteries and also tried new batteries. When I press either of the power buttons it moves for a split second then stops.

Can i exchange?

I have liquid chlorine it is 10% sodium hypochlorite. In cool math, I can't see in any of the formulations where it has sodium hypochlorite. I see hydrochloric, some other things, and bleach. Is 10% sodium hydrochloride the same as it would be for 10% bleach?
