Questions about levels, why I am getting skewed results, and quick thoughts, advice while I wait to receive one of your test kits

Just use the cylinder on the left for all tests except CYA (that what the tube on the right is for).

Rinse the cylinder well between tests. If you notice any residual in the cylinder, clean it with rubbing alcohol.

Let's ask @Sarah and Nate about the "Chlorine Only" cylinder.

That's good to know. I got really turned off with the test strips that I had because I bought three different kinds and they all gave me three different results. The Clorox kit has an app and all it does is tell you to buy all these weird things for your pool, and I wasn't crazy about that. I like to use ingredients that are pretty natural and that you can easily tell what they are, like a baking soda, borax, things that are relatively normal. So I'm pretty excited about dealing with you guys and getting started
OK tested for the first time..
FC 4.5
CC 1.5
TC 6
TA 150
CH 200
CYA HAIR ABOVE 30

so now what?

Great! So your CC is a touch high. I assume you are operating your SWCG? If so, let that be for today. Do test and report your pH when you can.
Tonight, if you can, test FC once the sun goes down. Turn off the SWCG. Then tomorrow morning, before the sun shines on the surface of the pool, test FC again. Report what you get.

For now, yes. Your CYA should be increased once you to your OCLT tonight. Also the TA is high but that will be addressed as you manage your pH in the 7's.

Is there any pH test other than the little container with the yellow and white tops?

Use PoolMath to calculate how much Muriatic acid you should add to drop your pH by .4 points to 7.8. Poor slowly in front of a return jet, brush, then wait 20-30 minutes and retest. With your result being on the high end like that, it might be higher than 8.2 and may take more than one addition to see it move.

Okay I have a weird question, there seems to be a yellowish kind of sediment I would call it on the pool steps and the ledges. When I clean the pool really well with the brush it seemed like it came off like maybe it was pollen or something but I still think I see it.. maybe it's my eyes? I'm not sure it's just kind of bugging me.

Maybe a yellowish of gold I mean it's not yellow yellow

Might be iron. If you have some vitamin c tablets, take a couple and drop them on the step.

Not sure what you are doing, but you need to get FC to target for your CYA and never let it drop below minimum.
