Pump won't start

Maxx Envie hot tub. The one speed pump does not come on if you press the control panel button. Removed panel and checked pump - not jammed, replaced capacitor, voltage OK. Checked fuse on circuit board (it's on an expander board) that's OK. Recently replaced main circuit board but not the expander board. After that rechecked and pump still not coming on when you hot the control panel button (light does not come on at the control panel either).
Was rechecking again this morning just as the filter cycle started and the pump runs normally during the cycle. Checked the control panel - could not get it start from there. Is it the control panel or the expander board the culprit? Or something else?

Most likely it's the controller. If you press the jets button and the indicator does not turn on it is not engaged. Check the wire for damage and the plug for corrosion.
