Pump quit working

So I have the dreaded Hayward 3400 VSP, it went out and Hayward through my local authorized pool company is selling me a new tristar vsp 950 and a pretty good discount. The problem is my pump will be down 2-3 weeks. What can I do to avoid a very nasty pool? Luckily it is winter, I am in northern Ca. and the lows are in the 30's and highs mid 50's, with some sunshine. I do have a sheer decent that I have been running 3-4 hours a day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Scott,

I would just run the waterfall a little longer and increase my FC level a little.. I would use Liquid Chlorine until you get your pump back on line.

Water temp is what matters.. If the water is in the 50's, you should be ok algae wise.

Nothing to worry about. If its that cold just slam the pool when it warms up if needed. No need to run waterfall nothing will grow really under 50s water temp
