So I have had a weird problem.
A few weeks ago, my pool pump breaker tripped. I untripped it and the pump worked fine for a week or so. Helped us pass through the winter storm in Houston.
Last Saturday, during heavy rain, the breaker tripped again and kept on tripping until yesterday (it hadnt rain much in last 3 days). Yesterday, doing some troubleshooting and realized, the breaker kept on tripping when the automation cable was connected to the pump. As soon as you turn the pump on from control panel, the breaker tripped.
However, removing the cable and running the pump manually worked fine and pump ran overnight without an issue.
This morning, it rained and the breaker tripped again.
I am unsure if the pump wouldve stopped working as it is or if rain is the culprit.
Any idea what could be the issue.
Pump was replaced in 2021 around after Harvey time but, a call to professional suggested pump might be the issue and would need replacing. I have IntelliFlo VSF pump.
