I have just had a 56,000 Litre outdoor pool built . The water is cloudy and when i checked the pump i found it to be 375 Watts which based on my calculations is too small. The pool Builder sent me a 600 Watt Pump to replace it however when i checked the Filter the Throughput Max is 180Litre Per Minute and the 600 Watt Pump Qmax is 350 Litre per Minute .
Should i install the New Pump with the Existing Filter or Install a Bigger Filter First?

my pool builder has supplied a bag of Poly Aluminium Chloride to help clean the pool . What is the correct dosage and application method ?

Without knowing the type of filter it is hard to say.

Safe thing would be to install a bigger filter first.

my pool builder has supplied a bag of Poly Aluminium Chloride to help clean the pool . What is the correct dosage and application method ?
polyALUMINUM chloride is an inorganic flocculant. The aluminum is a trivalent ion that reacts with water to form a hydroxide which binds to particulates in the water and causes them to clump together and fall out of solution.

Flocculants must be dispersed into the water surface (a spray applicator works best) and then allowed to react with the particulates and settle out of solution. The resulting floc (gunk on the bottom of your pool) then needs to be vacuumed (slowly) to waste.

You NEVER run a floc through your filter as that is the best way to gum it up and cause a huge mess. Likewise, you NEVER use flocculants and metal stain removers at the stain time or else you will turn the pool water into a cloudy mess.

We do not recommend its use. Ask the builder for dosage.

To clear algae we use the SLAM Process with liquid chloride.
