PSA: Don't forget to clean your Dolphin impeller

I noticed that the suction on my cleaner was a little weaker than normal. Sometimes it wouldn't get all the way to the top of the wall.

The other day I removed the impeller and cleaned all the hair out (3 daughters...) and voila! Suction power was back.

How do I get to the impeller?

Take off the two screws on the plate that the cord goes through and remove it and the baffle below it. Unclip the cowling above the impeller. Remove the 4 screws holding the mechanism that controls the direction of water flow to the 3 ports. Remove the screw from the top of the impeller. Notice that the impeller shaft has 2 flat spots on it, so when reassembling make sure to line this up with the impeller before screwing in.
