I need suggestions at to where to start investigating please. I'll try to give as much detail as possible but frustration is setting in rapidly LOL
When I start my pump the pressure reading is generally between 15 - 18 PSI (this is where my pressure has always sat and all has been running well) but within a couple hours that drops to less than 5 PSI, which shuts off the heater. I do a Sand filter back flush and get the pressure to come right back up. Now one thing I've noticed is there seems to be a dramatic decrease in the flow for the skimmer. It use to run a lot of water through it but that's slowed down a lot. I did have a pine cone (the bane of my existence) which I blew out with air pressure. There was a lot of junk, needles and a cone but it seemed I had gotten them all out.
Should I again try to blow out the line or should I disassemble the pump to see if there are needles clogging up the impeller? Or, and this is only speculation, could it be the result of more needles built up in the heater?
