I lost power due to the hurricane. Is it gonna be ok that my filter is not running? There saying it might take 5 days till I get power, is this gonna ruin the pool?

Get a small generator and energize the pool equipment pad for an hour to mix in what ever is needed. If your a SWCG guy you can supplement with LC .
Liquid chlorine. I don’t see why it’s ruined, but chances are high it’ll take SLAM to get it back in order once all is up and running.
You'll be fine. As was said earlier put in your normal amount of chlorine / bleach and brush for enough time to get the water all mixed up and moving around (maybe 5 minutes?). If you have the time brush it again a few hours later. As long as you're properly chlorinated you won't develop algae. You can also skim manually with a net. Once you're running again bump your chlorine up to SLAM level and run the pump for double the usual time.

Power been out for a day. Just test and add accordingly. Get out as much debris as you can.
Go buy a few gallons of Liquid chlorine or bleach and keep on hand..Stay safe
I have to admit,
There's a lot of things I'll run a generator for, but under no conditions is the swimming pool on that list.
Running the blender instead, so that you can make Margaritas to make stirring in the liquid Chlorine by hand more enjoyable is a totally accepted use of the generator.
