You'll be fine. As was said earlier put in your normal amount of chlorine / bleach and brush for enough time to get the water all mixed up and moving around (maybe 5 minutes?). If you have the time brush it again a few hours later. As long as you're properly chlorinated you won't develop algae. You can also skim manually with a net. Once you're running again bump your chlorine up to SLAM level and run the pump for double the usual time.

I have to admit,
There's a lot of things I'll run a generator for, but under no conditions is the swimming pool on that list.
Running the blender instead, so that you can make Margaritas to make stirring in the liquid Chlorine by hand more enjoyable is a totally accepted use of the generator.
