Poor man's IntelliChem

Matt to the rescue again with his nifty adder of a couple reagents to TF100 that creates a drop test for borates
Care to share the love? Is that the rumoured "mannitol test" I've seen hinted at but was too nervous to research? I'm not going to be able to add chemicals until middle of next week so I can either get the inaccurate strips, try the sneaky Matt test, or just YOLO a 55 pound bag of boric acid into the pool (IM NOT GONNA ACTUALLY DO THAT)

Not sure it really reduced acid consumption but did definitely reduce the frequency
Makes sense. I'm seeing that in the calculator: might go longer between adding chemicals, but it takes more to move the needle.

.... I believe Matt thinks hes perfectly normal but we all know he is definitely a little weird. Sometimes people have to be a little weird to be good at what they do. I'm sure glad we have Matt here... weirdness and all!

Chris

Years ago my therapist dropped a torn up slip of paper on the floor that had the words "normal" written on it ... I keep that in my wallet any time there's questions regarding my sanity ....

Young Frankenstein

It’s one of my favorite movies, Top 5 at least.

Certain prescriptions are written in Normality.

Possibly a 0.1 Normal solution of some sort of medication?

Does that come up enough that you need a slip of paper?

One's ability to asses their own insanity is inversely proportional to said insanity.

Sure Tex, head over to this post. One warning though, once you open this jar it can lead to TFPicitus. And there's no known treatment.
