I haven't verified with my pb, but it appears that the pool & spa lights were wired together for control. I was expecting to have separate control of the two. Just curious if others use their pool & spa lights separately.
What Jimrahbe said. If you have automation going in it is pretty standard to have them all connected to run as one. It is not impossible to control them separately, but you will need to have a conversation with your builder about the changes mentioned above.
My pool and spa lights are wired to one switch due to code. Long story short... The switch for the pool light is too close to the pool, so it had to wired with the spa light. It has not been a problem. Now that I have LED lights (40 watts) in both (instead of the combined 600 watts), we have them on every morning and evening.
Thanks everyone! I'll chat with the builder. It's not a big deal if they are controlled together. However, I think it would be nice to have the option to control them separately.
