I measured and came up with just over 28k gallons for pool size is there a way to confirm that number based on chlorine added?

test at 3 FC added 242 oz of 8.25% retested after an hour and was at 11 FC

thanks all

Short answer: no.

Pool chlorine strength can vary quite a bit depending on age. Chlorine loss to UV will vary with intensity and CYA levels. If you had no CYA, you could lose half your FC in an hour or so. By the time it all got mixed, several ppm would be gone.

Just keep tabs on things. If you consistently overshoot or undershoot for a couple weeks, increase or reduce the size of the pool in poolmath. It shouldn't take long to get dialed in.
