Our 9 year pool light died last Summer and we are finally looking at taking care of it, swimming at night is one the best things about the pool! After looking it up online, I took the unit out of the pool, went to open the niche and realized that there is not way a bulb fits in there, it seems way too flat. I didn't open it but looked it up again and sure enough, it is not a bulb but a circuit board that will cost at least $950 to replace. Question: as there is no way we will replace anything for that price, can I replace the whole unit with one that has the same voltage but a different niche and one that uses a bulb so that we can fix it again if needed. If yes, where would I buy such a thing?
