Pool coping separated from the concrete

The pool was like this when we moved in a couple of years ago. They had just replaced the liner and the pool inspection noted the gap in the coping but didn't think it was a concern.
I want to see if there's anything I can do to fix it. Or at least make it look better and prevent it from getting worse. I'm in Tennessee so winters do get cold enough to freeze.

Welcome to TFP.

Show us some pics of the problem area looking at it from inside the pool.

Also pics of what the deck above looks like.

It looks like the edge of the concrete deck is crumbling.

I pushed around on the concrete there, and it's pretty solid. It's just how the concrete looks with the little stones, I think.

Here are a few more pictures of the area.

Thanks for your help.

Here's one additional picture.
You can see here the seam between the sections has been repaired before, as we had a company come and lift up the corner as it had sunk an inch. However, most of the sinking was in the area farthest away from the pool, but the concrete movement, in general, probably caused the separation here.

You have a bunch of things going on in that corner and the liner bead is out of its track. It all should have been addressed when the liner was replaced but they took shortcuts.

I think any repair needs to wait for the next liner replacement. Then the deck and coping may also need to be redone.
