Hi, we just purchased a new house with a salt water pool. We came home today and our spa was completely empty and the overflow of running non stop. Does anyone know what might be happening and how to fix it?

Welcome to TFP!

Did you shut down the pump? Was the pump running dry, or did this happen when the pump was off?

It could be an issue with the position of the valves, but without more details, we can't help much.

If you still need help, post up some photos of the equipment pad from several different angles.

This article may help you understand your system:

New,

We need to see "several" pics from different angles so that we can understand your plumbing. Edit, just say the new pic..

Can you show us a pic of the "Overflow drain"??

Did you have any kind of suction cleaner or vacuum in the pool?

Thanks,

Jim R.

We did have a robot vacuum in the pool. The overflow drain I mentioned ha I g water coming out was actually the drain pipe for the pool.

New,

I don't see anything that would cause your spa to empty.

We need to understand what you mean by "Overflow running non-stop"???

Just to be clear... Robots have electrical power and no hoses or vacuum lines. What kind of cleaner do you have?

Drainpipe for the pool??? How does water get into this drainpipe and where does it come out? Most pools with cartridge filters do not have drainpipes..

I understand that you turned off the pump, but did you also adjust any of the valve positions??

Thanks,

Jim R.
