Finally complete! The pool has actually been done for a few weeks but we finally have the yard back together. I installed irrigation my self about 2000 linear feet of PVC which was a heck of a job here in Texas with the heat. My kids helped me lay 10 pallets of sod this weekend. Really thankful to have the pool done with this heatwave we are having this summer! 1D5E1056-7000-4AF7-8F61-0DC04109796B_1_105_c.jpeg2B8F9EB8-D945-4D22-8477-E0F6F9827E29_1_105_c.jpeg2AB19409-E5BB-45DB-B358-B3C40F8E7BFB_1_105_c.jpeg539A4C4D-ACDE-4E63-A94C-E266FDFF6382_1_105_c.jpegA798C4C2-68CD-4B10-8081-DC132A834252_1_105_c.jpeg08220007-9E43-4654-B1D3-B01C6A12F3A7_1_105_c.jpeg20B78EB3-3F04-4D7D-A215-A77F24A3A934_1_105_c.jpegEAB90A36-F2E8-4620-82BE-8339A9E0A25A_1_105_c.jpegA629E293-D6B6-468F-86B0-0136E63A2285_1_105_c.jpeg

Great pool!
new sod is looking dry; drench that sod; like puddle it; roots wont survive the heat.
the goal would be to get the underlying soil wet initially; this require ALOT of water

Looks great!!! Keep that sod wetted all day. It's like a potted plant sitting on the soil below, as even though the ground is wet below, in this heat the sod will dry completely out in a matter of minutes. It'll root pretty soon and take off on it's own. That wider outside coping side is a good idea. Made our a little too narrow, and edging and cutting are a pain with all the grass blowing into the pool.

It's been miserably hot here in Central Texas since mid May. Put down roughly 400' of new Zoysia, the sun would dry up the top in hours. I took some bushels of clipped dry grass to spread on top. Grass is staying green under the canopy.
