This is my first spring with a pool and there is pollen everywhere. Is there anything I need to do differently or just wait it out?

Many people like to use a skimmer sock in the skimmer. The sock will catch the pollen, which means you don't need to backwash/clean the filter as often. It is a minor connivence, hardly crucial, but very popular.
