Hello, all. I have a pipe size question. I searched and couldn't find my answer.

I'm getting ready to plumb the equipment pad and need some advice on topside pipe sizing. I have 8 individual 2" runs to my pad, as follows:
  • Main drain
  • skimmers (2)
  • dedicated suction vac line
  • returns (3)
  • deck jets (4) on pressure loop
Each line will have a 2-way CPVC 2/2.5" Jandy valve. There will be a 2.5" check valve at the heater.

My pad consists of a Pentair 011028 3hp VSF pump, Hayward S360T filter (glass media), Hayward Rainbow 300 offline chlorinator, and Hayward F250FDN heater.

Is there any benefit to running 3" pipe when the filter, heater, and pump all have 2.5" fittings? Or should I stick with 2.5" everywhere on the pad?

Thanks for your advice!
