Pentair Racer bag STINKS!

The bag on my pentair racer pool cleaner smells like pond water (for lack of better description). It's a new bag this summer. We empty it every couple of days. Our pool water certainly doesn't smell like pond water. It's crystal clear and levels are all good. I can't figure out how something that sits in chlorinated water 24/7 can smell so bad! Any insight?

Don't know why it smells bad. Do you let it dry in the sun after use?

No, I empty it and put right back on the racer and put it back in the pool.

My hands stunk after handling it so I figured out that's where it came from.

Not really. No big trees near pool. I was just trying to see if anyone else had had this same problem and had a solution. But I can just deal with it. I just thought it was really weird for something to smell so bad when it's in chlorinated water all the time.
