Hello Everyone,
I need help, we purchased a house and had Cox internet which is what the previous owners had, and the Engenius connected wirelessly. Cox was horrible always losing service so I switched to a different company with faster mbps and since switching I have not been able to get the Engenius to connect to our wireless wifi and yes we have both the 2.4 and 5 G. I purchased a 100 ft ethernet cable and ran it to the Engenius and it connected. So I figured the router was too far away so I just purchased a wifi extender, and when I tell the Intellicenter to connect and it searches for available networks mine is right there on top with 4 bars now that I have the extender (it was 2 bars) but it still won't connect. So to test it I plugged the ethernet cable into the extender and ran it to the Engenius and nothing it still won't connect. I have never had this system before and I don't have any idea what to do or check.

Welcome to TFP.

That is why a new “High Power Wireless Link Kit,” has replaced the EnGenius WiFi Link Kit (Primary Client Bridge) (P/N 522475Z). These new link kits (523557) began shipping with newer IntelliCenter bundled kits, January 30, 2021.The new kits have two (2) transceivers. One transceiver connects to the user’s router and the other connects to the IntelliCenter. The following is reported:
  • Connection range is significantly better.
  • Establishes a proprietary secure bridge between the two transceivers which automatically negotiates the connection.
  • Allows for auto configuration and formatting (plug and play).

The Engenius system and the IntelliCenter setup is finicky. It takes the right sequence in the IntelliCenter and a few power offs and ons of the IntelliCenter to get it to connect. Every time you make a change in the WiFi settings you should power the IntelliCenter off, wait a few minutes, and on to fully reset it.

Check Configure Ethernet Settings and that Use DHCP is ON and you have valid IP settings for your home network. Then do the Internet Connection test.

Your WiFi SSID or password should not have any spaces or special charachters.

Thank you for the reply, If those kits weren't so expensive I would get one and replace this one. I will certainly try powering down to see if that works. I did power down the Engenius before but that didn't work. I thought for sure hard wiring it from the wifi extender would work but that didn't work either. Its really quite the pain.

If you are a bit technical you can use other WiFI bridges. Some folks have used TP-Link WiFI bridge in place of the Pentair equipment. A WIFI bridge makes it look to the IntelliCenter like it has a cable connection.
