Pentair iChlor30 - Lost communication

Quick question..even though the board has a green light it still can be the PROBLEM?

The green light shows the board has power.

The board also has the communication chip that talks with the EasyTouch. We suspect something blew out the comm chip and that is why it no longer communicates.

How can I determine the exact model/board I need.....sorry for the dumb questions

There is only one model board for the Intellichlor Power Center.

The cost of the board is about the same as a service call. If it does not fix the problem it still will cost you less then calling in a Pro.

Get the new board and see if it fixes your problem. If not we will look at some other stuff.

WELP...me again. I finally got around to ordering the new board and just replaced.......bad news is I still have the error message. I'm hoping I don't have to replace the entire IC30. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Unfortunately the cell is the only other part to replace.

How old is the cell?

sorry for another dumb question but the salt light is now a solid red but when I checked the salt with my test kit it looked ok. I read somewhere that a solid red could also be an issue with a faulty flow switch...wuold this have anything to do with the lost communication error and no salt reading that I'm getting or are these two separate issues

Two separate issues.
