Just recently started to happen. I have an IC30 SWG system and the STATUS - FLOW light blinks green (picture show solid but its blinking), error message stating lost communication to the Chlorinator and its show )ppm for salt. Not sure what the issue is or might be. I did put into service mode and the lights went out on the cell....did not see any mention of RPM's on the message display. Some water is leaking out of where the cell tightens but not alot. This has been going on for a month or so that I've noticed and since it was not a lot and everything was functioning I just left alone. Not sure if this is causing the issue?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.IMG_2130.jpgIMG_2131.PNGIMG_2132.PNG

That is fine. The manual says:

There is a RS-485 comm cable connecting the iChlor Power Center with the EasyTouch.

You need to check both ends of the cable and see that it did not get cut or disconnected.

I did put into service mode and the lights went out on the cell

That is the correct behavior with the ichlor powered from the filter pump relay that turns OFF in SERVICE mode.

I don't know what you are looking at there?

That is a common failure of the iChlor cell.

The water leak is not causing the Communication Lost.

thanks for the detailed response.....I checked the RS cable and all looked good w/no cuts etc. I then opened up the chlorinator control/power box to where the 4 pin rs cable connects and again all the wiring looked good. I even pulled the fuse to see if it had blown. At this point, I guess I may need to have a professional come and look at it???

Show us pictures of the connections on both ends of the cable you checked. Show us the boards they are attached to.

Inside. Drop the top panel. Need to see the surge card.
Surge card should be in the Power Center box and not in the EasyTouch.

will do....how do i check connection to the chlorinator itself...I didnt check that connection only the connections with the 4 pins going into the control box and that there was no visible cuts in the line

As Allen mentioned, you have a separate power center for the iChlor. Take a picture with cover off of that.

If all those RS485 connections are good, you have an issue with a RS485 chip. Either the iChlor or the surge card.

I assume other RS485 items work on the Easytouch. So most likely surge card. They will just replace it. You can buy them online.
See if Allen or Jim have ideas.

they all look good.....ugh..this sucks. Guess will have to get a pro out here to diagnose. What am i looking at cost wise for these parts

can i buy online and replace myself or best to get pro out here?
Can you use a screwdriver and plug in wires?

The "Pro" service call will cost you almost as much as the board. If you can do it, buy the board and pop it in and see if it fixes your problem.

haha...got it. Quick question..even though the board has a green light it still can be the PROBLEM? How can I determine the exact model/board I need.....sorry for the dumb questions
