Pentair IC60 flow switch alternative?

My temp sensor in the flow switch failed so I cut the wires to get back to producing chlorine. This is the second one that has failed in two years. It’s a shame we can’t get anything built with quality anymore. Enough rant, question is do I have alternative to this switch? I read some are using an external sensor drilled in the pipe but that was 3 year old info. Is there a better flow switch that actually built good? Is this even necessary since my pumps and filters are indoors?

Same flow switch. The external thermistor is the best method. See Pentair Flow Switch vs. Generic

Here is a work around that allows you to use a separate temp sensor...

Any pool temp probe would work.. I am using the same basic probe that came with my EasyTouch..
