Pentair Cartridge Filter Inflow and Outflow connections

I recently had to replace the bottom part of my Pentair Cartridge Filter. After reconnecting the existing inflow and outflow PVC to the filter housing, I have a small leak on one of the two connections. Does anyone know if I can use some kind of sealant to shore up that connection and stop the leak ? I have it pretty tight on there already. See pictures.

Be sure the orings are in good shape and liberally apply Pool Lube - Further Reading to the oring before making it up.

Do not overtighten or you deform the O-ring and cause a leak.

Gotcha. I did tighten with a wrench so maybe that's my issue. I'll double check the oring and then hand tighten it. I'll also apply some lube which I didn't do.

Hand tight is all it should take. And then maybe a bit of a twist with a wrench maximum.
