Hello everyone. We are redoing our pool. We will be doing pebble tec and we are thinking of skipping tile and doing pebble tec all the way up to the coping. Has anyone does this? Thoughts? Feedback appreciated!

The waterline gets scum and scale. It is easy to clean smooth tile. It will be very difficult o clean the nooks and crannies of a pebble finish.

I do not have a pebble surace. My sister does though, and on her beach entry there is a line that has formed. I will not however, vouch for her water quality.

I would do a search on that here. I know I have seen a thread on here where someone had done that and, after time, the pebble above the water line started to crack. I would use tile at the water line in my opinion.

They put tile at the waterline for a reason as noted above.. It will be a decision you regret and costly to correct.
