New to TFP, new pool owner. We are 18 months into our new pool experience. I wish I had joined this site when we were selecting a builder, but that ship has sailed. We have had many issues with the builder, some still being resolved. The most recent issue is that I have located several pockets in the pebble tec finish. None are more than a quarter inch in diameter or more than a quarter inch deep. It seems as though there should not be any pockets and I can only identify those on or near the surface. Is this normal with pebble tec or should I ask the PB to have the pebble tec installer come our to evaluate or repair?

Welcome to TFP.

Can you show us some pics of the pockets you are seeing?

It cannot hurt to bring your concerns to the attention of your Pool Builder and the palster company.

Welcome to TFP.
Do you know if this is a recent issue or were these "pockets" there originally? Plaster is a handcrafted skill so trowel marks or even spikes (worn on shoes by the crew appling the plaster) can leave imperfections.

If you are not getting any response from the PB then call PebbleTec directly stating you may need to file a warranty claim. That will get a case file and someone to possibly come out to review the issue.
