Measured 500 ppb...fc is 9, cya is 50...cc is 0; pH is 7.8.

I see no problem here...thoughts? Are my phosphates an issue? My fc may be a wee bit high...pool is clear, sparkly and kept ultra clean by my new polaris bot that i LOVE!!!

This is strictly out of curiosity, does your PB sell pool chemicals? I'm just curious if he is coming from a position of misguided concern or one of making a sale.

Regardless the answer is no, 500 ppb isn't even anything to worry about if you wanted to worry about them, but more importantly if you keep your FC in check then they are not a concern. Your FC is a bit higher than normal for an SWG pool, though your CYA is a bit low too, but neither is so far off that I'm worried in the slightest by your test results. Though I am worried about your water clarity, with it that clear you might forget there is water in there and accidentally try to add more

t,

Is this a new pool? Is your PB worried because of some warranty issue? If not, why does he care?

I agree with Donaldson... worrying about phosphates is a little like worry about finding a bug in your skimmer... Oh my... what shall I do??? :p

What did he say when you showed him your sparkling water?

Thanks,

Jim R.

So yes PB sells chems, but they have NEVER pushed any on me - i am amazed at PB willingness to offer advice without trying to make a sale.

It is not a new build.

PB generally backs off when I say that all I ever add is bleach (when SWG is not functioning due to temp), muriatic acid and baking soda...

Yeah - I fell in the pool the other day - thought it was empty! [emoji15]

But I am going to slowly bump my cya. Have had problems maintaining it due the huge amount of rain we have been getting and the need to constantly waste water to get level below skimmer. First time I have ever had to add salt in July too!!!

So leave the phosphates alone? Smoke and mirrors? We have had alot of rain, so, hence the high phosphates?

Going to run bot now...god I love that little thing...
