Painting the skimmer cover?

Has anyone painted their plastic skimmer cover? Perhaps a rubber coating spray would work better than spray paint designed for plastic?

My decking is a nice brown but the white covers stand out.

Certainly sounds like something you can do, and we've painted our PVC pipes to make them less glaringly white. So pick your paint carefully.
