Ozonator or SWG?

SWG. Ozone is a secondary oxidizer that still requires chlorine. It has little use in a residential pool as the supplemental oxidation it provides is mostly wasted. Residential models also produce a fairly insignificant amount of ozone.

The best application of ozone is a public pool or a spa. It is also confusing why the builder is treating this as an either/or situation. Ozone is used in conjunction with chlorine. An SWG produces chlorine. They aren't really related.

Z,

Another reason to go with a SWCG is that you can test to see if it is working or not. Not so much with Ozone..

A SWCG is the real deal.. it uses the salt in the pool water to make chlorine.. Ozone is mostly just "magic"..

One sanitizes your pool water, and the other just makes you "think" is it doing something..... All magic.. but no rabbit..

Thanks,

Jim R.
