This is what we're up against.
Just cleared it yesterday. Our trees are literally raining leaves.
Hubby won't let me have a screen enclosure ?
I've had to think creatively when adding chemicals so that I don't have to spend 45 minutes cleaning it every day before adding acid.

We get that over our autocover at times too. A fast blow off with a battery powered leaf blower takes care of the deck and pool cover......each darn day!

I've been researching battery leaf blowers this afternoon, actually. ?
I want a small battery one that I can keep on the porch. But hubby wants a leaf blower vacuum that's very powerful (meaning large) to replace ours that just died.
I can't decide which one because of what he wants vs. what I want, or maybe finding two that at least have compatible batteries.

We talked and he did say to get the optimal one for me to be able to use it easier and store it better. He will get another one later if he wants to suck up leaves.
I mean ... We have a lawn guy but he hasn't been doing the back since our dig date because it's all dirt, so when we get everything back together and he starts taking care of the back again we won't have leaves to suck up anyway.

Personally, I prefer the small Black and Decker battery blower, but Skippy decided that the EGO big hoss battery blower with supercharge blowing capacity would replace my beloved Black and Decker. It really was all I needed and he had some sort of gas powered doohickie. The EGO is a heck of a blower and could probably toss a small child down the lane, but its a lot bigger/heavier. He likes it because he bought other tools and they *share* the same batteries. Men!!

Ours that just died was a pretty powerful black & decker that was a blower and vacuum. Bulky.
I just picked up the one linked below. I was thinking to get the more powerful one that wasn't much more but thankfully they had it there and I could hold it. SO MUCH heavier. This one felt light and easy for me to manage and store.
The B&D you linked is much cheaper but not in store. I kinda want it now.. lol

We're having pavers added to the sides of the original.
This means the existing deck drain will either need to be extended, or routed under and to the side.
I'm thinking extended to the end makes the most sense as I'm concerned about routing it under, having eventual erosion underneath.
I also have an issue with the gutters we have.. one is directly routed over where the new area will be. So, we either need to reroute that, or also run it under the pavers and to the side.
I'll get pics later when I'm home, so I can post. I'll also reach out to our gutter company to seek their recommendation for that piece. They're an awesome company and even came to lift our downspouts due to the new elevation and grass being added for no fee.

Deck drain coming off of original pavers, rest of that area will be pavers as well, to the house, and 18" off the fence. The area along the fence will also be rock to 18" width, as well as around the entire perimeter of the pool. The area where the equipment is will be all gravel (a larger rock that we can easily blow leaves out of.
Gutter downspout in the corner, which I need to figure out what to do with that... As well as the deck drain.
I'm thinking to just extend the deck drain length and have it discharge into the rock bed that will be at the fence.

I like all of your plans. You know your rain events and flow off the roof. Keep that in mind while you plan the down spout and such.

We did! Yay!!
We were in it for like, 4 hours. ?
It started to get a little chilly but I just kept saying "we waited 5 months to set a toe in here... Suck it up, buttercup!"
We decided to leave it uncovered overnight and by the AM the skimmer basket was full (and is already again... Lol) , also an acorn cap sank and left a big orange STAIN. ? Even though I don't see acorns falling we still get these wayward caps out of nowhere.
Also there are some weird fuzzy things... Our big tree doesn't seem to have them, but one off in the corner of the neighbor's yard does.. oh and in the other neighbor's yard on the other side.
Grrrrr trees!
We wanted to leave it uncovered to see if we could start that yet.. probably not I guess.
I'll reach out to the gutter company to have them come look and tell us what we need to do for that.
Also just noticed one of the pavers to the left of the skimmer coping, and that corner of the coping, is raised to a point it catches my flip flop. Not sure how to get that fixed without messing the area around it all up.

You can rub and chlorine puck on it and it should take it out or just keep your FC up to the higher end and brush like you have been already and it may fade over time.

Maybe I can have the crew that is here to do the additions fix the paver. I'll ask them.
It's also the coping, though. That's a semi- large piece of flagstone.
Maybe just grind a bevel like the one to the left of it so it'll blend and call it a day.

Watch over their shoulders as they could cause more problems with the plaster. If that is the worst one I would re-think having them replace them.
Ask them how they are going to cut the plaster/tile area.

I was nervous about it but more so now.
I just let them know I am having second thoughts about replacing them.
I originally just asked if they had some sort of material that can blend in the chips like we had to use on our tile floor once. I did a quick search and not sure that's a "thing", also just called the manufacture "Master Tile" and asked if they have a chip-repair kit for CRZKEYMAR6 tile and they say nope.
There is one that I think is a little worse, but not too bad, TBH. I asked about the filler/glaze material and they jumped straight to replacing them without saying if there is, or isn't a repair material instead.
I can ask them about their method but I'm sure they will just say it's fine, we do this and this" and I won't know the difference.
And with most things they've done, they've caused new issues. So I'm uneasy.
He said to let him know ASAP because they were going to meet here in a few hours.
**UPDATE** The warranty manager agreed that it's better left untouched if possible, so we called it off.
