Opinions or experience converting dive to lap pool?

Just looking for advice, tips, etc. Considering conversion of 50x20 dive pool into lap pool by raising deep end. Worth the trouble?

Probably would refinish entire pool in process, but more curious on pros, cons, costs, etc.

Any recommendations on contractors in North Dallas area making a pool shallower ? Our pool is 8feet deep on the deeper side so I want to make it 4feet high. Has anyone done this ? What a're your experiences ? What should I be looking at cost, just a ballpark ? Thanks.

What do you want your depth profile to become?

I'm thinking 5-6. I don't want it overly shallow. The other end is about 3-3.5 ft. Seems raising drains and filling in, but maybe there's more to it.
