Off grid pool on Maui

I'm. currently building a 10x40 in-ground lap pool. Our property is off the grid with no utility tie-ins and rainwater catchment.

I am planning to power a 1.2 hp 72 volt DC pump using six solar panels and a dedicated mppt controller. ( I'd love to power the salt system and the pool cover motor with DC as well, but those items appear to only be available in AC.).

Would love to talk to anyone who has an off-grid pool or is interested in the type of zero carbon footprint construction.

Welcome to the forum!

Generally, it is more cost effect to go with a standard PV solar panels and inverters (AC System) and use standard AC pool equipment rather than DC powered devices. Then you can use the panels for the house too. Plus as you found out, some pool equipment doesn't come in DC versions.
