So tonight we got in the pool and it was so hot that it felt warmer than our hotub! Checked the heater and it was set on 103 deg for both the Spa and Pool settings. Just assumed one of my kids had turned it up (yet they adamantly denied it) .... And super odd ... 103 ????
Couple hours later get a phone call from neighbor (maybe 1/4 mile away) telling me he was out of town but the house sitter called to say the pool was very hot! He asked me to go over to check on things and strangely enough his Hayward Heater was set to 103 deg just as mine was. We both have German Shepherds so it's doubtful that it's sneaky kids.
Has anyone ever seen hot weather or lightning strikes change the temp on a Hayward heater??
