Looking for input. Wife and I disagree (Imagine that!) on this design decision. The pool has a 18" raised BB on the back wall and the spa. We are putting stone on the raised wall part. I want to continue and wrap the stone around the spa wall, (pool facing ) so everything raised 18" is stone. She wants to do the waterline tile on the face of the spa where the water from the pool matches. So basically the spa face. Does that make sense?
Comments, ideas, suggestions.
I'm not sure I've got the picture correctly in my mind of the spa plan. I'll just say this - my experience with glass tile is this: all of my glass tile that is either 100% out of the water or 100% under the water looks great - no maintenance issues. My glass tile under sheer descents or on water line requires more cleaning, a lot more than my standard 6x6" waterline tile in the pool area. (only my spa has glass tile waterline). The glass tile impacted the most is under my sheer descents.
