New Waterway booster pump is 1.25 hp, old one is .75 hp. Is this OK? Same model and part numbers on both

[Note: this is not a question about pressure side vs robot cleaners. I have considered switching to a robot and decided not to.]

I ordered a new booster pump for my Polaris 280; it was delivered today. When I unboxed it, I noticed there was a capacitor on top which the old ones I've had didn't have (they are in the back on the old ones). When I looked at the labels on the new pump I noticed that the motor is 1.25 hp while the old one is .75. Can/should I use the new pump or send it back? (See the addendum after the details. This may just be my misunderstanding of THP vs HP.)

Details
Both Waterway labels (old and new pumps give
Model #: WB075
Part #: 3810430-1PDA

Old motor label
HP 3/4 SF 1.65 RPM 3450
Volts 230/115 HZ 60
SF AMPS 8.0/16.0 PH1 DUTY CONT
Frame 48Y
Model C55CXKRL-2079

New motor label
THP 1.25 RPM 3450
Volts 230/115 HZ 60
AMPS 5.7/11.4 PH1 DUTY CONT
Model T55CXDCT-1740

Both appear to be manufactured by US Motors.

While writing this post I read an article that says THP = HP * SF (True HP = HP * Service Factor). If I do this calculation on the old motor I get .75 * 1.65 = 1.2375 which is pretty close to 1.25 like the new motor says. So do I have essentially the same motor?

Is there a difference between Amps and SF Amps? Are they comparable?

Thanks for your help.
