New to pools CYA reduction

I figure there should be enough flow to sufficiently mix it in at that point?
When the truck fills the pool, add chlorine, pour in front of a return slowly with the pump running.

Add 5ppm of liquid chlorine.

4 hours pumping then test. You can run high speed if you want..

Ok great. I'll be adding at 10pm so it will pump high speed until morning. I'll do my testing then and will do the chlorine loss test tomorrow evening. I appreciate the reply. Thanks.

RESULTS! Ok, so I've just completed my testing. Here are the results. Water is at 21C
FC- 3.5ppm, CC- 0.5ppm, TC- 4ppm, pH- 7.8, TA- 160ppm, CH- 190ppm, CYA- 30-33ppm. Seems like I need to bring CYA up to 45ppm. Increase FC to 4.5ppm, reduce TA and reduce pH. Does this seem reasonable? Is there anything I'm missing? Kids would like to swim today if possible. What do you guys think? Its 34 degrees celsius here so sure would be nice.

Your CYA is 40, always round up to the next 10. 33-->40. 45--> 50.
Raise your FC to 7. You need to follow this always..Link-->FC/CYA Levels
Do this test tonight to ensure you don't have algae, even if you can't see it. Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
If you fail, start the SLAM process. Link-->SLAM Process

If you can see the bottom of the pool, and FC > min for your CYA, and FC <= SLAM level FC, then safe to swim.

Another hint to avoid algae.

CYA is 40. Using the tool, FC target range is 5-7. Test and dose to 9, wait a day, test again. If you are in range, continue to dose to 9. You want to be in range when you test.
If, after dosing to 9, you are below range, the subtract your below range from 5. Add that to 9 and that is your target.
If, after dosing to 9, you are above range, then dose to 8.

The point is to never let your pool get below range.

Thank you. I'll add the chlorine now. To be clear, should I be waiting until after I do the chlorine loss test tonight to swim or can we swim in an hour or so, do the test tonight/tomorrow morning then proceed with SLAM if necessary?

Just vacuumed the pool. I think there are more wrinkles in the liner floor now than there were before? I really wish I had taken better notice before I drained and filled it how many there were. Should I be concerned about them? I also noticed a vertical hump at one of the support posts behind the liner. It appears to be a joint where the wall panels join. I can feel screw heads through the liner (at least I think that's what they are?) All other support post areas are smooth. I don't recall this hump but it may have been there the whole time. Not sure what to do, if anything. I didn't assemble the pool so I really don't know how its constructed below the liner.
