I purchased the kit and it arrived I have had a Quick Look i will try and do it later I’ll start with the chlorine. Once I get the readings do I put the results into the pool math app ? And do I need to do the cya test first ?

No, not sure why you think it would.
Drop the white pill into the sample vial after the sample is at the correct level. The pill is a magnet that the stirrer will rotate around.
That white plastic thing is what does the stirring. Just drop it in the vial of solution, and then turn on the device. Rinse it off well between types of tests. Some tests may have you use the same sample and put different number of drops of more than one reagent - it can stay in the vial for those. But rinse it off (and rinse well the vial) if emptying the vial to use for a different test.
In Pool Math, if you enter the value for CYA, it will change the recommended CL target you should be at.
CYA is the hardest test to judge the value to use. Don't stare at the dot, only glance at it - add a bit more, and glance again. Round up your reading to the next highest line. Try to be in a place with bright but even lighting. Outside with your back to the sun works well. It may take a few times before you get the hang of it and get consistent readings with the same sample of pool water.

Thanks I probably should have started with the cya test I did chlorine and It straight away looked clear I know every time I take my water to a pool shop for testing it says no chlorine so I think I’ve done something wrong, I did the ph and alkalinity tests I put them in the pool math but unsure if I did that right too

I also tried the cya test and tipped all the cya mixing tube into the cya viewing tube and I could still see the logo at the bottom

Add 3 ppm FC liquid chlorine and 30 ppm stabilizer. Maintain FC at or above 3 ppm.

The tests from pool shops always come back good and I don’t need stabiliser but always needs chlorine. I have a spa and a pool I just did the test for chlorine in the pool it was still clear after putting in the chlorine detection powder does that usually mean it’s 0 chlorine and no point in doing the rest of the tests ?

If you add the R0870 powder and the sample does NOT turn pink, you have 0 FC. Stop that test.

Thanks I’m doing the ph tests and finding it hard to match the colours is there any tips for that ? Also besides pool math is there an Australian app i can input the date into with the size of my pool that tells me how much dry chemically to add ?

Also after a bout a minute the water does turn pink do I need to keep putting in the drops and leaving it for a minute or so before I put the next one in until the water is finally clear ?

That is an odd pH test. Be sure you are doing it correctly.
Always use a bright white back ground when reading pH
The Poolmath app can be changed to metric. Go to Settings (cogwheel).

Why is it an odd oh test ? Does that test in pool math look correct ? I’m doing the Chlorine test that is staying pink

Which is it. If it stays pink as you add R0871, the FC is not 0.
I have never seen a pH test like that.
It was clear then a couple of minutes later I looked and it had gone pink so I’d put a drop of titrations reagent in while being stirred it went clear straight away then a minute or so later went back to pink i did that 3 times and still pink

If the sample does not turn pink immediately when you add the R0870, the FC is zero.
However, you should follow up with the R0003 and do the CC test. You may have CC but no FC.

I did a calcium test came up as 200 is that picture saying that I need to put 2kgs of calcium in? That seems like a crazy amount
