Picked up the sheeting for the solar rack so working a bit on that as well as took a couple night shots because I could

Got a little bit further on the solar rack today
Waiting on PB to come to go over punch list items still needed. 2 biggest outstanding issues are the overflow and the stair trim tile in the spa. On the stair trim it looked like it got scratched very bad when they did the Pebble but on closer inspection the tiles guys left the tape sheet stuck to the tiles and noone removed them before pebble. It comes off but is a royal pita.
Pool cleaning guy came today with the "starter kit". No name test (but tf-pro is sitting in the po box for pickup) cheap nylon brush and net. He stated PB told him "we don't provide a vac on new builds", wtf
. He also mentioned with this stonescapes I should be using a stainless bristle brush but I beleive I read contrary here?

Unless it is in the contract that is the norm. I will also tell you it will be cheaper for you to buy it instead up paying their up costs.
For now get one of the manual vacuum set ups. You can get the head and hose at Lowes or such. It is good to have around for just in case times. NO wheels for the first 30 day due to the new plaster.
No wire brush right now. That plaster is way too new. Keep the water balanced and you should not see a brush like that. DO use the nylon brush at least 2x day for a while. After that at least once a week.

Solar is done and activated in intellicenter and working!
Turf was also installed today and the pool propane tank was dropped.
Pb has not showed up to go over punch list items and I found the the tile liner in the grotto also has the tape still on leaving many gaps between tiles.

Had not thought about painting the tank, since it's in the "yard", maybe
I didn't track it yesterday but so far the pools gone from 71 this am to 79 currently.
All the more reason to paint it cute!!! Look at these ideas!

Pb is still a no show so I spent some time this evening doing his job. Drained the spa into the pool below seat level and spent 2 hours with a razor blade removing the tape from the tile. Then had to use solvent on a towel to get all if the adhesive that was left behind. There are several voids between tiles where the tape prevented the plaster from filling
After I did that I went and condensed most of the garbage into one spot and found a stack of the drain risers which per the aquastar instructions should have been Installed. I imagine without them the clearance is less and therefor the pump is working harder, is that am accurate assesment?
For now, the overflow issue has been temporarily rectified with good old duct tape.

Thank you, the risers definitely where not installed as I had the spa drained down just above drain level and could clearly see the drain lids. Drain lids are aquastar 8" color match lidsWell done on the tape removal but still.......sigh in your even having to do it

And for today's edition of wtf were they thinking. Went to install the weir door on the skimmer and realized the plaster guys where sloppy and plastered the inside corners of the skimmer. I was able to chip most of it clean but the two holes are filled with plaster 
I don't think my drill will like functioning under water lol, anyone have suggestions? Pb has now stated everyday this week that someone would be here but nothing.

been working with the pick but not getting it deep enough. I think I'll try a variation of the @Newdude method with the hf masonry bits, two cheap right angle adapters and a 1/ drive extension. That should keep the drill out of the water. Now if I can get my lazy kid to assist lol
Would a Flex Shaft attachment for the drill work in your situation? They are about a foot long and do require drill bits with a 1/4” shank on them. You can put a good amount of pressure on the head without it jamming up.
