Hello,
I'm new to the group and haven't been able to dive into all the resources yet but I'm hoping to get some help on an issue I've been having with green algae build up on the floor of the pool. Our 8,000 gallon pool opened last August and I've been able to manage it on my own pretty well without much hassle. We were out of town last week and there was a storm which left us with a green pool when we got home. We tested levels and got the chemistry to the correct levels. I also cleaned out the cartridge filters for the first time (and they were very dirty). The water is looking 100% better but there is still green "caked" onto the pool floor and a bit on the bottom of the walls. Scrubbing doesn't seem to be working. In the photo you can see the change from normal blue-ish plaster floor (circled area) to the green stuff around it.
Thanks in advance for any help!
