New pool, Manor, Texas

Jannylee - thank you, but I wish I had wisdom! Our water is now gorgeous, but we have a weird discoloration issue. It seems it's always something!

I get bitten terribly by mosquitoes. The best thing I've done is to hire a monthly service to spray our yard this summer. I haven't been bitten once! It's amazing. It's also pretty much "green" as I understand it. Worth every penny!

Not a bad idea. I will definitely keep this in mind about Mosquitos. I've seen lots of wasps too.

I had an above ground pool years ago. I still remember the frustration of not being able to understand how to control the chemicals enough to really enjoy it. I spent a lot of time at the pool supply store trying to figure it out. But I'm confident that I can succeed with this forum's help. And I am certain you will get your water issues resolved soon, also. Keep us posted on that. [emoji3]

I hope you get your issue with the water corrected very soon. [emoji3]

Your pool is beautiful!!!

For mosquitos I am probably going to buy a fogger on amazon. They breed and live in a particular area of my backyard and I plan on fogging them (with a mask) weekly until they are under control. We had them really bad this year during the wet part but now I can stand in my backyard for a long time and have no issues so I think it has gotten too hot for them.

Inspector coming today. It's looking marvelous! I'm going to swim this afternoon. [emoji3]

Jannylee!! You've been a busy girl!! It took 5 pages for me to catch up on your build! I'm sorry I missed the excitement, but your pool is gorgeous! The water is so sparkly - already! And the pergolas.... oh my, but they are perfect! As others have said, everything works beautifully together.

Don't you love the step tiles?! I love mine and really look at them, since my steps almost blend together.

Have you had time to try out the sun shelf? We've been busy brushing, so I've only used our sun shelf once. You mentioned hoping the pool will help with mobility issues. I can promise it will. I used a pool all last summer for exercise, and it really made a difference. You can do most exercises in the pool that you can do on land. Some need a little modifying, but they work.

I'm so happy for you and your husband. Your pool is going to be such a great way to unwind after work! And you'll sleep better, too!

I can't wait to hear more!
Suz.

Thanks, everyone. It has been such a relief getting this completed. And it's so worth it. We have already started swimming, and it's so nice!
We are in the process now of landscaping and repairing our sprinkler system. Getting grass back will help so much!
It's kind of scary not being in control of the chemicals and the pump, etc., but hoping to get there soon!
Suz, are you brushing from the inside or outside of the pool?
And yes, it's going to be fantastic to have a pool to exercise in. I'm so happy!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I really like the look of the tiles on the steps and bench. It's great to see them!
Also, I'm hoping to get our patio furniture put together and set out.
But working most of this weekend. Trying to make sure everyone has a schedule for the beginning of the school year!
