9/27. I would be ecstatic for that.. :) Trust me it could be worse! We probably won't have water in ours until the end of October..... they first dug on 6/24 the permit was issued 5/28 and the contract was signed in early April... Even here in Tucson that's probably too late to do much else than Polar Bear it...

I'm so sorry!!! Yeah we signed in mid March, and dug June 6th. Here's hoping you have water by mid September 🤞🏽.

how we're not supposed to be swimming blah blah blah and we have to wait for concrete and fence before going in.

First off...... I shot my coffee out my nose from that laugh. Thank you.

Secondly, you aren’t ‘swimming’ when talking to them. You need the lights to help ‘finalize other design aspects’ and won’t be ‘able to visualize’ how it will all look without those lights. **cough**. Wink. Wink.

Ahem. There are probably liability issues again. So no cannonball. May i suggest `a rapid decent to the pool bottom to inspect for possible wrinkles' ?

The back and forth with your builder I'm sure has dominated your build but I would suggest you get proactive with your pool water and get that filter backwashed and some chlorine in your pool. Do you have one of the test kits we suggest? Can you post test results?

Thanks to TFP (and Kim) I've been in control of my water since fill 3+ weeks ago. I thought I was doing ok until this backwashing situation. Anywho my numbers seem to be ok, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Concrete tomorrow. Still trying to schedule lights to be installed. Told them I would wait for the outlets and then she replied that my permits were ready to be picked up. But still no date for service yet. Made final payment to pb because they are almost done and we were supposed to pay most after liner was installed but they never came for it. Only paid my part because 10k wont be released from bank until they receive final pictures from us, which I won't send until I get my lights in. And we had pool school today but he will come back to show us how to work the lights. It was pretty amusing listening to some of the stuff he said such as
-After heavy rain throw 2 bags of shock in to give it an extra kick in the Rear
-Every 2 to 3 seasons replace sand and laterals (unless I take really good care of our then I could maybe go 3 or 4)
-Keep the swcg at 70% and
-leave my heater set at the temperature that I want my water to be so it doesnt have to work as hard to reach it if I turn it off (as in all the time)🤑

He also turned my pump to 3000 and left it there. Then adjusted my psi gauge arrows to be higher and said to keep it between those and if it reached the second arrow I should backwash. I just smiled. Sorry but I'm not keeping my pump at that speed! I of course adjusted everything after he left. But I didnt move the arrows back on psi gauge because he still has to come back.

He's not entirely wrong with the heater. Its kind of like the AC in your house. Its not worth it for a day or 2 to shut it down as it will take considerable time to cool the whole house down again. But if you only want to use it every other week, then of course its cheaper to fire it up the day before you want to swim.

Concrete is done. Electrician called and said they can come Tuesday after I told her that our loan expired next Friday and she said that I should've told her about the loan. Umm ok, didnt realize that would've speeded things up especially since pb said they were already paid so..whatevs. They will install outlets and lights on Tuesday between 12 and 4. Of course it sucks because it will be almost 90 and it's the day before school starts so no swimming till late but at least I finally have an install date. Then we are pretty much finished!
