New pool build - Rowlett, TX

Just found the forum so I'm a little late on posting. We are in the middle of our first inground pool build. We broke ground on 07/07/17 after a lengthy delay with Oncor about a errant power line which was outside of their easement area and had to be moved. Here are the current plans:

Welcome to TFP.... A Great resource for all soon to be pool owners... :drown:

I recommend that you get the Intelliflo pump without the SVRS option... The SVRS is an old safety device that is not at all needed now, as all new pools have split main drains. The SVRS limits the low speed for your new pump. The IntelliFlo is the "Gold Standard" of Variable Speed pumps, but the SVRS just costs more for no practical reason, and it will cause problems if the skimmer runs low on water, or you have any type of water surge. I have it and would trade it for a non-SVRS unit today...

Please search this site for "Sanitizer:​Fusion Chlorine and Nature 2" and you will see why we are not a big fan of these types of systems.

Looks like it is going to be a great pool!!!

Welcome to the forum! Another new build -- watch out -- lots of members that like to spend your money will soon chime in!

Three items in your equipment list I would re-consider.
Circulation Pump:​Pentair Intelliflo SVRS Variable speed -- Consider changing this to the straight VS pump. The SVRS adds complexity that can be problematic.
Sanitizer:​Fusion Chlorine and Nature 2 -- This is very problematic. This unit adds Trichlor and Copper. Both items that will preclude you from having a Trouble Free Pool. Consider getting a Salt Water Chlorine Generator instead. Much easier and you will not fight high CYA and staining from Copper.
Automatic Cleaner: Pentair Racer w/pump - Many people on the forum have switch to Robots. That eliminates the extra pump.

Welcome to TFP...that will be a very nice pool and I totally agree with mknauss on the sanitizer. This is based on all I have read on this site as well as other internet sites. At the end of the day its a personal choice so give it some serious thought....bets wishes and I will be following so keep the pics and questions coming.
 
Yes. It's all Oklahoma flagstone on the coping of the pool and spa and on the tanning ledge. I'm not sure what the stone on the outside of the spa is, but it's not flagstone. I'll have to check my build sheet at home. We are also having that same stone out around the base of the cedar posts that will cover the patio.
