New Pool Build Pearland, TX (Houston area)

This will be interesting what they do next. When our pool was shotcrete I had to water it down twice a day for two weeks. Your guys are moving fast compared to how it is done in California.

Here are some photos. Boy the trucks are loud, but most homes around here have school age kids or are already up to get ready for work and they didn't power up the trucks until after 7a.m. PB said water 2-3 times a day, need to ask him for how long.

I'm that way too and I think it's a good way to be. Sunbaby's builder came out to give us an estimate and I asked so many questions during the design/bid process that they thought I was shopping them and might work for competing PB. [emoji23]

That's funny, those were some really good questions then. Can't remember, are you going to use them?

Funny! Our PB wanted to hire me to be a PM.

I wish someone would hire me!! I'd love to work in the industry!

I think that would be great for both of you! I was a city planner years ago and would love to be trained and hired as a PM. Our PB said they have to turn jobs away and are considering hiring or they'll just have to keep saying no to some jobs.

No, I was supposed to meet the owner/PM but after their representative laughingly told me that they'd asked him if I was some kind of shopper after seeing my questionnaire, they never called me back to schedule the appt. The rep was at my house 3 times, called one morning to say they wanted to meet right now, so I rearranged my schedule and a doctor visit to accommodate and then they said never mind, he couldn't right now but would call me to schedule. Never did.

Once they dig the sides for the plumbing - you will be - "What lawn?" lol

My water fill was on one side of the house. The poll equipment on the other side. Lawn trashed up on both sides and also around the pool.

Uggg and then we won't be able to let the dogs out in the backyard when the workers leave.

Oh no, I wonder what happened? That wasn't too nice to do a no show. :(

So it is quiet now, the trucks are gone, and they are smoothing the gunite. Will post photos later.

It looks nice. Some measurements were a little off, but we are ok with it. Just concerned if the uneven spa spillway is a problem or if they can level it during tile/coping and will speak to PB about it tomorrow.

So 3 days, 2.25 flats of water and 2 flats of gatorade later. They preferred the gatorade, thank you for the idea Sunbaby or Suz, forgot which build mentioned gatorade. :)

Framing our covered patio is for tomorrow.

Your build has been moving along really fast!

Did you put a level on it to see just how bad it is? Definitely looks like it's sloped a good degree. I think I'd want that fixed with gunite. Hopefully Kim will chime in. Were you able to say anything to them or did you see it after they were done?

So silly question maybe but Google had varying answers - strangely enough. How many bottles are in a flat?
