New Pool Build Fort Worth TX

Whats going on Kimber1? The rains are holding off which is good for you...any new progress?

Hi! We have been out of town since Sunday, but my stepdaughter said that they showed up yesterday and started the coping and rock work! Very excited to get home tomorrow to see what has been done!

She sent me this pic... you can see the destruction in the yard [emoji15]

very nice design!, keep reading there is lots of great help on this forum....
I like the gazebo aswell, is that a custom built gazebo or a kit?

Hi! The gazebo was a kit from Costco that we put together. When we had The Oklahoma flagstone installed on the deck, we had a firepit and seating bench built too, and had them build around the gazebo posts. This tied everything in together. Then my husband put a ceiling fan in it.

We also had gutters installed around the gazebo to help keep the rain from splashing into the seating area.

The firepit is wood burning, but we are having it converted to gas while the pool is being built.

Y'all are brave...I would be so afraid to leave. It's looking good and I like the angled cuts...safe travels!

Lol, I’m not brave about it... it’s freaking me out not being there! But my wonderful husband bought me Miranda Lambert concert tickets in Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver Colorado for my birthday, so we are just trusting nothing bad happens while we are gone.

We fly home tomorrow and will be back to supervising though [emoji12]

Hope y'all made it back ok...I expected to see lots of new pics...

Hi! Yes we made it back okay. I have a few pictures, but it is so dusty everywhere from them cutting stone that it’s hard to see what everything looks like. [emoji39]. They are hopefully finishing up all the stone work and coping today.

This is the raised beam at the backside of the pool.

GREAT JOB!!

Lol! I really am loving how it’s all turning out. It’s funny because I see soooo many great pools on this site that I’m always second guessing, or seeing ideas that I would love to have added. Some ideas I have been able to add. Like the ambient step light idea that I got from your pool build, and Kim’s suggestion to add a light by the equipment pad.

Today they finish up all the stone work. It was a huge job that took 5 full days to complete! They will also be finishing the stone repair on our gas fire pit conversion.

Tuesday they will be making forms for the deck. And I think pouring the deck on Wednesday or Thursday. And we are looking at getting plaster the week after that. [emoji39]. Fingers crossed the weather stays decent!

Good you could see I was just teasing...your build is going to be awesome. Cant wait till next week for updated pics...

I am officially following this thread since you are close by. Beautiful design and excellent decision making going with the lights vs. the useless UV equipment. This site rocks!

Recommendation: Have hubby study the PoolMath calculator and Testkit usage and you will have your very own "pool boy". ;-)

And the correct pronunciation of MA is strictly dependent on where you are from.

Thank you! :D We are really loving the way it is coming together. And I like the idea of having my husband be my very own "pool boy" lol.

They finished the stonework and coping. And today built the forms for the deck. Hopefully they will pour the concrete deck tomorrow! And they are saying we might get plaster at the end of next week!!
