Your pH might be higher than 8.2 as I don't see it going down from your logs. Lets get you ready for a battle:

-Test pH use Pool Math to find how much of the above stuff to add to bring the pH down to 7.5. Put the pump on high and let her rip for about 15 mins.
-RE-test the pH.........where is is now? If it is not in the 7s then do it again!
-keep doing this until you hit the 7s on our pH test.

New plaster loves to push pH up.....we need to get it down and keep it down. It will be a battle but the first battle will be the hardest as we don't really know how high it is.

Just check pH again and it didn’t move. Added the recommended dose of acid and will check again in an hour or so.

If you have your pump on high you can check again in 15 mins. so we can break it.

Checked it last night after I added the acid and it was indeed in the 7s!

Went out and checked this morning, Alkalinity is down to 70, pH was up 8+. Added the recommended acid and will check in a while.

Wow! I have unbelievably behind on updating this thread! My apologies for that.

The pool has been filled for about a month now and we're loving it! Salt will be going in today so I can finally turn on the SWG. We've been slowly finishing the backyard with some landscaping and the artificial turf.

Planted about 50 clusia plants around the pool area...

The little hint of green that these give make everything else really pop!

Artificial turf was installed and we threw in a little putting green for fun...

This little guy suffers from eczema, so he's loving the artificial turf!

We haven't gotten in much. I know, I know! Crazy right? It's been raining like crazy here in Miami!
