Okay. As long as there's not too much more rain, you're fine! I intentionally let my water level get almost to the top of the skimmer opening right before I "open" because the extra water (anything above mid-skimmer level) drops quickly as it fills the drained lines and empty filter. [I also put my filter to waste to get rid of as much winter anti-freeze as possible, but that procedure is beyond what you need now. Just mentioning it in case others are reading.] Whatever extra water there is can be easily lowered. YOU just don't want it OVER the skimmer. Does that make sense? I am watching the Blackhawks and am not focusing totally on this post... totally....!
