Re: New Homeowner - Green Pool [shock process: day 5]
Alright guys. I really need some help with how to perform this stupid drop test. I am getting WILDLY inaccurate results depending on when I stop my drop count for fc and start my drop count for cc.
I just did two tests on water pulled from the pool at the same time. The first time I ended up with
fc: 8
cc: 3
the second time i ended up with
fc: 3
cc: 8
For test 1, I dropped drops until the sample was clear, set down the tube to add the 5 drops of the next reagent, and before I could start adding the 5 drops, the sample was pink again, so I repeated the process until I was able to keep the sample clean until I could get the 5 drops in and then did the cc test.
For test 2, I stopped adding drops to the sample when it was clear and REALLY QUICKLY put 5 drops of the next reagent in and did the cc test.
I have NO idea what the proper method of doing this test is, or at which point I should stop adding drops while testing cc - or how long the sample needs to stay CLEAR without returning to pink.
I'm never going to be able to stay on top of this if I can't test properly...
