yes, thanks, I will try to do that. already reached out to both Hayward and the store.I would return it under warranty.
Maybe go to a variable speed pump.
What pump did you get?I returned the pump and got a variable speed model. What an epiphany! The thing is awesome. Thank you all!
a VS 700 (Super Pump VS | Pumps | In Ground Pool Pumps - Hayward Pool Products)What pump did you get?
I run 3 speeds. 3 hours at 2800, 3 hours at 1725, and 9 hours at 900. I did not do any calculations, will see how this works out and tweak if necessary. What speed are you running?
Right now it is using 164W at 1725 RPM.What is the power usage at that speed?
Not my power company, unfortunately. I paid $1,500 for the pump. Many power companies have green energy rebates encouraging you to switch to a variable speed pump. I ended up paying ~$250 for mine after the $400 rebate.
I previously had a Super Pump and am super happy with my new set up in comparison, it uses about 1/4th of the electric too.
Any reason you need this much flow?3 hours at 2800
I would run at this speed 24/7 as long as the flow is adequate.Right now it is using 164W at 1725 RPM.
That's probably too low and the power is probably about the same as at 1,725 RPM.9 hours at 900
